Occupational Therapy is a skilled treatment that assists individuals to achieve independence in everyday functions such as bathing, dressing, grooming and mobility as it relates to these tasks. The therapist can also assist clients to regain other abilities necessary to remain in the home safely such as meal preparation, household management and home environment adaptations to increase safety.

Types of clients who require Occupational Therapy:
- Individuals with physical or cognitive limitations following stroke, brain injury or heart attack, post operative joint replacements, visual perceptual or cognitive deficits
- Severe chronic conditions such as arthritis or MS
- Fractures or other injuries from a fall or accident
- Work related injuries including lower back problems/repetitive strains, burns, spinal cord injury or amputation

Our Occupational Therapists must be Master’s prepared graduates of an accredited Occupational Therapy Program, registered by the National Board Certified Occupational Therapy Association, and are licensed by the State of PA.
Occupational Therapists are expected to continue professional development by participating in continuing education and workshops.
